AWNM 4 Empathy

Vicki Davis: Vicki describes herself as “a teacher, entrepreneur, edublogger, conference presenter, and freelance writer.” She is an avid reader, technology "geek", and heart-felt Christian. Locally, she’s been Camilla Chamber president, a Rotarian, and a Leadership Georgia graduate. Her class wiki has won many awards and media recognition. She is a Tech Learning blogger, co-founder of Women of Web 2 and co-host the WOW2 show at Ed Tech Talk. She co-authored the Flat Classroom Project and Horizon Project. Vicki lives in Camilla, GA.

David Warlick: David is teacher with 30 years experience working with children and adults. He is the author of three books and a popular blog titled "2 Cents Worth."

Carolyn is a techno librarian at a large public suburban high school, Westlake High School, in Austin, Texas.

Kelly Dignan
Kelly is an entrepreneur, instructor and coach. Her mission is to help business women know themselves, live authentically and create company cultures where others can do the same.

James Folkestad
James is an associate professor at Colorado State University (Fort Collins, CO). He has spent the last 15 years studying and teaching in the areas of diffusion of technological innovation and change. He currently teachers a course to pre-service teachers titled Educational Technology and Assessment(EDUC331) and a graduate level course on Educational Leadership (EDUC709). He is currently investigating how collaborative processes can enhance learning.

AWNM 4 Symphony

Cathy Nelson: Cathy is a middle school library media specialist in Myrtle Beach, SC. She is also a participant of many educational networks, including the South Carolina Association of School Librarians, ISTE, and, Classroom 2.0 (among other nings), Facebook, Twitter, and othere areas of the blogosphere. She is a blogger as well, blogging at TechnoTuesday: Cathy Nelson's Professional Thoughts.


Jeff Whipple: Moving from his role as a lead teacher in Nashwaaksis Middle's 1:1 lapop program, Jeff is now a Technology Learning Mentor at Nashwaaksis Middle School, where he works with teachers and students to help them leverage the power of connectivity into their learning. He also is a part-time instructor at the University of New Brunswick, where he facilitates two undergraduate courses for pre-service teachers in using web-based learning tools.


AWNM 3 Symphony

Mike Porter: Mike is the Assistant Director of Technology for Littleton Public Schools. He has a Master’s of Science in Instructional Technology and has co-taught graduate classes at the University of Colorado, Denver, for Leadership for Technology Integration. He is a former Language Arts classroom teacher. Mike is also the parent of two Littleton Public School students.


Robin Ellis: is an Instructional Technology Specialist and Classrooms for the Future Coach in the Quakertown Community School District in Quakertown, PA where she works with teachers and students create meaningful collaborative connections into their learning.

AWNM 3 Story

Jim Gates: Jim is recently retired from a career in Education that saw the last 25 years being in the computer field. He now spends his time learning about and sharing the ways that teachers are using technology to accomplish things that they were unable to do before the introduction of the technology. He participated in this event last year and is honored to be asked again this year.


Kristin Hokanson: Kristin is a blogger who's day job is Classrooms for the Future Technology Coach in King of Prussia, PA. Kristin is a PA Keystone Technology Integrator, STAR Discovery Educator, and Google Certified Teacher as well as Teachnology Leader through PAECT. Kristin is committing her time and efforts to creating a constructivist learning experience for students to prepare them for life in the 21st Century. She participated in this event last year and is thrilled to be invited back.

AWNM 3+4 Design

Dan Pink: Dan is the author of two influential business books, A Whole New Mind and Free Agent Nation. Dan held his last real job in the White House, where he served from 1995 to 1997 as chief speechwriter to Vice President Al Gore. He's also worked as an aide to U.S. Secretary of Labor Robert B. Reich, an economic policy staffer in the U.S. Senate, a legal researcher in India, and a latrine builder in Botswana. Dan lives in Washington, D.C.
